Travelodge opens Edinburgh hotel

Travelodge today opened a 96-bedroom hotel on Princes Street, Edinburgh, that was internally funded by the Arcadia Group.

Located above Scotland’s flagship Top Shop in a Grade II listed building opposite Waverley Station, Travelodge has signed a 35-year lease agreement with Arcadia, representing a £10m investment.

Alongside the Princes Street hotel, Travelodge today also opened an 85-bedroom hotel on Queens Street. Combined, the two hotels have created 40 new jobs in the City.

In total, Travelodge now has 13 hotels open in Edinburgh, offering 1,230 rooms, making it the largest hotel brand in the Scottish capital.
