Cadogan secures Club Monaco first-ever UK letting in Sloane Square
Club Monaco, lifestyle and fashion brand for men and women, has opened their first-ever retail outlet in the UK, with The Cadogan Estate’s Sloane Square upmarket retail sites.
The 4,000 sq ft store at 32/33 Sloane Square, in the Westbourne Grove neighbourhood, will open the brand’s flagship in the UK within The Cadogan Estate’s 93-acre stretch of retail properties throughout Chelsea.
Club Monaco, which operates over 140 stores worldwide, joins a flurry of upmarket, luxury retailers all signing up leases in recent months, seeking to capitalise on the upturn in consumer spending as the domestic economic recovery gathers momentum.
In recent months, Cadogan has signed up luxury retailers Tom Ford, Zegna, Smythson, Rag & Bone and Alberta Feretti across Sloane Square and Sloane Street.
Hugh Seaborn, chief executive officer of Cadogan, said: “Club Monaco is an exciting addition to Sloane Square. We believe Club Monaco will complement the growing number of luxury fashion retailers and we look forward to their opening in autumn 2014.”
Ed Humbert, senior director at CBRE, said: “We continue to see strong demand from high-end retailers looking for space in the West End and we predict that the quality of tenant mix in and around Sloane Square will continue to grow over the next 12 months.”
The Cadogan Estate comprises 93 acres of Chelsea stretching northwards on Sloane Street as far as Knightsbridge and Harvey Nichols, southwards through Sloane Square and past Peter Jones to Lower Sloane Street and westwards, with several holdings on King's Road as far as Beaufort Street.
The family's 300 year stewardship of the Estate continues in the hands of their Chairman, Viscount Chelsea, eldest son of Earl Cadogan.
CBRE and Nash Bond advised Cadogan. Harper Dennis Hobbs advised Club Monaco.
