Landid and Brockton have signed Objective Corporation as the fifth occupier at their Thames Tower development in Reading, moving from from Maidenhead.

Computer software provider Objective Corporation has signed for 7,000 sq ft on the 10th floor of Thames Tower, which sits on the town’s pedestrianised piazza, directly opposite the rebuilt £800m Reading station.

Objective will join four other occupiers in the 195,000 sq ft building. Earlier this year HSBC signed up for 9,500 sq ft, professional services firm BDO has taken the whole of the 12th floor, recruitment firm Austin Fraser has taken 14,040 on the ground floor, and natural food specialist Pret A Manger has taken space on the ground floor.

James Silver, Landid Development Director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Objective Corporation to the growing community of forward-thinking businesses that are taking up space in Thames Tower. The deal demonstrates that the building is a major draw for businesses looking for space in the Western Corridor and by attracting a new entrant into the town shows the importance of this landmark building to Reading’s wider business community. Thames Tower is a workplace like no other in Reading and we look forward to Objective moving in and adding to the vibrant atmosphere in the building.”

The makeover of Thames Tower, designed by dn-a architects, saw the original 10-storey 1970s building stripped back to its frame, floor plates extended and four floors added – creating an additional 62,000 sq ft.

Thames Tower comprises over 180,000 sq ft of flexible offices, and a 4,000 sq ft rooftop terrace and sky lounge as well as 8,000 sq ft of restaurants, café and other amenity space.

In addition to Thames Tower, the Landid/Brockton portfolio also includes The Charter Building, Uxbridge and The Porter Building, Slough.

The Landid/Brockton was represented by Parkinson Holt and JLL.
