Nexus Planning adds to Manchester Team

UK planning and regeneration consultancy Nexus Planning has appointed Richard Shepherd as a director in its Manchester team.

Shepherd specialises in providing planning advice on retail and town centre development for both private and public sector clients. He joins Nexus Planning from WYG Planning, where he was also a director.

Shepherd leads teams to deliver retail, leisure and town centre studies for local authority clients, and has provided expert witness services at Inquiry and to the Courts. His recent experience also includes advising on major retail schemes across the north of the England and beyond, including the planned Ikea development at Cuerden, the redevelopment of Gungate in Tamworth town centre, and the proposed Designer Outlet Centre at Scotch Corner.
