AshbyCapital, the property developer, and, U+I, the regeneration specialist, have completed the first pre-let at The Future Works in Slough to Central Working, the serviced offices and co-working space provider.

Central Working will launch a new hub in Slough. The new site will occupy 16,700 sq ft across the ground and first floors of The Future Works, providing space for 350 entrepreneurs when it opens in June.

With 10 clubs operating across the UK, Central Working has tapped into remarkable growth by creating supportive, nurturing workspaces across the country. Central Working success stories include Just Eat and cloud communications platform Twilio, which debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in 2016.

The site will connect Slough’s growing businesses with Central Working’s network of 3,500 companies across the country, providing the town with new links to the UK’s enterprise and tech community. As part of this letting, an entrance will be created between the ground-floor office space and the reception, creating a vibrant atmosphere by enabling the Central Working co-working area to flow seamlessly into the building’s reception.

Phase One of The Future Works comprises 100,000 sq ft of Grade A office space. The Future Works includes 3,175 sq ft communal roof terrace, cycle parking, luxury changing rooms, electric car charging spaces and improved public spaces between The Future Works and the modern transport interchange.

Grant Powell, CEO at Central Working, said: “Central Working exists to help ambitious businesses thrive and we provide our membership with unrivalled links to thousands of potential collaborators and clients around the UK.”

Cushman & Wakefield and JLL are the agents for The Future Works; Central Working was unrepresented.
