AshbyCapital doubles up at Brum Colmore Building

AshbyCapital has completed 16,311 sq ft of lettings in two deals at The Colmore Building, its office in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District.

Rathbones has taken 4,666 sq ft of third-floor space, while global multinational risk management, insurance brokerage and advisory company, Willis Towers Watson has let 11,500 sq ft on the second floor.

The company, which operates across the UK and in more than 140 countries worldwide, is consolidating its two Birmingham offices to The Colmore Building.

The sixth and seventh floors are the only entire remaining floors left in the building at 23,380 sq ft each along with 6,188 sq ft on part of the second floor, available via joint agents GVA and JLL.

Rathbones and Willis Towers Watson join Vodafone, Allianz, Investec, 3PB Barristers, Grant Thornton and Hogan Lovells, which recently announced it had expanded its space in the building.

The Colmore Building comprises 310,000 sq ft over 14 storeys and has achieved an ‘excellent’ BREEAM environmental and sustainability rating, as well as a ‘Platinum’ WiredScore connectivity rating.

Following a £3.5m enhancement programme, the building offers Birmingham’s broadest range of amenities, including a gym, treatment rooms, bicycle parking, luxury changing rooms and a drying room, as well as a refurbished reception area and a 1,000 sq ft café branded &More Coffee House.
