Park Street Nordicom, the European real estate company, has appointed Christian Melgaard as director of asset management.

Melgaard joins from DEAS Property Asset Management, where he worked for more than five years including latterly as the managing director. At Park Street Nordicom he will be responsible for developing its asset management business, new portfolio acquisitions and investment partnerships.

He is expected to join early in the second quarter and will report directly to CEO Pradeep Pattem. The senior hire follows the recent announcement of the appointment of Christian Seitzberg as Senior Portfolio Manager from NPV, the Danish urban residential and commercial property developer.

Melgaard has more than 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate management, development and transactions in offices, residential and retail throughout Denmark and Sweden, as well as Germany and the UK.

He is also a non-executive board member at several real estate companies and is an active participant in professional advisory networks, including the Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) and the Coleman Research Group (CRG).

CEO Pradeep Pattem stated: “I am delighted to have Christian take up a leadership role within our dynamic and growing team. Christian’s experience will be highly valuable in tapping the potential of our existing portfolio. We both share the vision for the opportunities to expand the property portfolios under management in partnership with investment partners in Denmark and beyond.”

Over the next 12 months, Park Street Nordicom expects to make significant improvements with the existing portfolio and identify further acquisitions and investment partnerships in Europe. It will seek to further attract entrepreneurial thinkers with design and architecture background, financial analysts and graduate interns.
