DM Hall, the independent Scottish agent, has appointed five partners.

Three of the appointees - Richard Clowes, at Galashiels, Graham Forbes in Inverness and Michael McDonald in Elgin - focus on the residential property market, while Ross Wilson, Head of Agency in the East of Scotland, specialises in commercial property and Donald Yellowley of DM Hall’s country department, based in Bridge of Allan, is an expert in rural valuation work.

Senior Partner of DM Hall, John Albiston, said: “These appointments are part of our overall aim to continue to promote from within and to put in place proper succession for the firm. Everyone at DM Hall wishes them every success for the future.”

Ross Wilson joined DM Hall as Head of Agency (East of Scotland) in January 2017. Based in Edinburgh, he oversees the firm's activities in Edinburgh, the Borders, the Lothians, Central, Tayside and Fife. He has a wealth of experience representing national and local companies, corporate clients, pension funds and high net worth individuals and has practised in both Dundee and Edinburgh since 2003.

Richard Clowes has led the firm’s Galashiels office since 2009. A Borders man, he has extensive experience in the survey and valuation of properties across the Scottish Borders having worked in the area since 1998. Clowes developed DM Hall’s business in the Scottish Borders with a diverse client base including local solicitors, estate agents, financial advisors and lenders.

Graham Forbes has operated from Inverness since 1996 and has extensive knowledge of the residential property markets throughout the Highlands and Islands. He is a certified provider of both residential and commercial energy performance certificates and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993, becoming director in 2009.

Michael McDonald joined DM Hall in November 2002 as a trainee after graduating from Aberdeen University and qualified in 2005. He was appointed an Associate at Elgin in 2010 and was made a director in 2015. He has extensive experience of the residential property market throughout the Moray area and undertakes valuations of residential property for a wide range of purposes.

Donald Yellowley joined DM Hall in 2006. His main role is the valuation of farms and country properties located all over Scotland. In addition, his work involves the day management of rural estates and a range of rural professional work including rent review negotiations and dealing with compensation claims on behalf of landowners.
